Food Intorance & Indigestion
What is food intolerance?
The abnormal reaction of the body after eating a food or a combination of foods is characterized as a food problem. Its main causes are:
- The wrong eating behavior (repeated food preferences, food preservatives, toxins etc.)
- Medication
- Genetic factors
Our eating habits, the last decades, have been completely changed. Many nutrients that we receive from processed food cannot be assimilated by our body. For example, people used to consume more “pure” products in the past, such as whole grain bread, raw sugar, dry fruits and home-made desserts, instead of white bread, white sugar and processed sweets and products that contain it. The gastrointestinal system is certainly not able to process and assimilate these products without side-effects.
Food intolerance may be the cause or the reason for the dyspepsia, flatulence (abdominal bloating), chronic fatigue, constipation, asthma, rhinitis, sinusitis, acne, eczema, pain of joints and obesity.
The Method
We use a device (Voll method) that uses a low electric current, as we use it during an electrocardiogram.
We take an analytical report for 180 different food items and ingredients.
food intolerance
Today, 40% of the world’s population suffers from food intolerances. The treatment, therefore, of the symptoms and of the pathological situations indicated above, is important for the quality of life. The problem can be resolved after an accurate diagnosis and appropriate dietary guidelines.
How is food intolerance diagnosed? By using Voll method, we study food intolerances in 180 foods or elements contained in such foods. By excluding from our daily diet the food elements that are found to create intolerance to our intestine, for a certain time period, we can manage to reduce or even to eliminate this negative reaction. This therapeutical procedure can be greatly supported by the use of probiotics and intestinal hydrotherapy method (holistic detox – Method Dr. Sofoklis Hadjimoissis).
